ECP Support Consultant

The EC Payroll Support Consultant will work in the supporting team to analyze, understand, and provide resolution steps for reported incidents via Jira and other incoming support channels. The specialist has a solid understanding of SuccessFactors Platform, Employee Central Payroll, as well as good knowledge about the data models, workflows, reports, extensions and authorization concept. The specialist will work together with colleagues and directly interact with the customer when needed. 



  • Proactively access and present improvements/enhancements to the existing solution and underlying processes
  • Participate in incident and problem solving dispatched from Level 1
  • Analyze reported issues and perform technical validation for, Platform, Employee Central Payroll topics
  • Explain root cause and solution provided
  • Perform regression testing on solved incidents
  • Perform lookup of user permissions
  • Perform updates to Role Based Permissions roles and permission groups
  • Solve complex workflow issues in Employee Central and Onboarding
  • Maintain email template notifications & translations
  • Maintain document template content, e.g. new document templates and translations to existing templates
  • Make amendments to organizational data (new legal entity, new business unit etc.); make changes to existing organizational data (change of business unit names)
  • Perform mass updates to end user data via CSV import files and the Mass Change utility in SuccessFactors
  • Work with cases assigned in Jira, reassign and comment as required
  • Evaluate if individual incident needs to be delegated to Level 3 support and/or SAP Support
  • Work with release management to test and evaluate impact of new releases and features
  • Work with reporting management to test and evaluate reports, dashboards and provide end user support on these
  • Update workbooks or other relevant documentation


Reporting Management:

  • Ensure that centrally provided reports and dashboards remain functioning and available
  • Support local teams with developing new reports and dashboards, troubleshooting when needed
  • Establish and maintain a reporting community with participants from the local ISS organizations
  • Provide support to corporate management with regards to common HR metrics such as Headcount, FTE Headcount, Hires, Terminations, Part Time Employment and Diversity



  • SAP Certified Application Associate in SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll
  • Experience with SuccessFactors Employee Central, Onboarding and Platform from a supporting role
  • Good understanding of the Hire to Retire process in SAP SuccessFactors
  • Comfortable expert user in common office tools and technologies such as WebEx, Jira, Confluence, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Comfortable working in SAP Support portal and SAP Help Portal
  • Passionate about delivering a great customer experience in service delivery
  • Able to perform in a geographically dispersed international team
